President. Stephen
Monticelli.
Mr. Monticelli has been a professional investor since 1987 in a diverse career
spanning buyout, venture capital and public equity investing. From 1987 to 1995,
Steve made and managed private
equity investments for entities controlled by two Forbes 400 families. His public
stock investing career began in 1997 when he advised Parnassus Investments, a
$1.4 billion mutual fund company on the consumer and retail portion of their
portfolio. Steve formed Mosaic in 1998 in order to bring his selective and sector-focused
investment approach to fund management.
Prior to his investment career, Steve served as a management consultant with
Marakon Associates and as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche. He has also served
on the Board of Directors of several public and private companies in the consumer
and retail sector and currently serves on the Board of Regents of the Hanna Boys
Center. He holds a MBA and BS from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. |

for thirteen years as Operations and Office Manager for Pacific Equity Management,
a Bay Area based hedge fund. |
